An enterprising team from Year 8 have taken part in this years Dragon’s Den competition which is run by the Manchester Airport Community Group.  Competing against 20 other schools and students from Yr9 and Yr10 the team raised over £500 for their chosen charity which was Francis House.  The team came in 11th place and received special praise from the ‘Dragons’ for their professional pitch to secure their initial funding.  The team named themselves the ‘Candy Crew’.  They created a hot chocolate kit and festive sweet cones, which they sold in a variety of locations including Manchester Airport, local Primary school fairs and to their friends and family.
