Roadmap Announced
The Prime Minister has announced the government’s roadmap to cautiously ease lockdown restrictions in England.

Initial dates have been outlined which will enable the re-opening of many businesses – however each stage of the four-step roadmap will be based on data to keep infection rates under control.

You can read the roadmap in full here and we will continue to update our advice pages on our website as more guidance and information becomes available.

Until such time as the stages of the new roadmap take effect England currently remains subject to a National Lockdown. See the National Lockdown Guidance here.

Tameside Vaccine Roll-Out
Vaccines for Tameside and Glossop are being delivered by GP led hubs based within Primary Care Networks – groups of GP practices within a neighbourhood. There are now five vaccination hubs delivering the vaccine locally – Ashton, Hyde, Denton, Stalybridge and Glossop. There is also a national vaccination centre based at The Etihad Tennis Club in Manchester.

When it is the right time, people will receive an invitation to book an appointment for their vaccine.

You can watch a video here about why the vaccine is important.

Census 2021 is Nearly Here – Make It Count for Tameside!
Census 2021 will provide a snapshot of modern society, particularly relevant due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

You will be receiving a letter with a unique access code, allowing you to complete the questionnaire (available in multiple languages) on your computer, phones or tablets. If you prefer a paper questionnaire (also available in multiple languages) can also be sent to you.

Charities and voluntary organisations often use the census as evidence to get funding. It helps businesses to understand their customers. The census also provides important information on population diversity, allowing organisations to know whether they are meeting their responsibilities and triggering action where necessary.

Census Day Sunday 21 March 2021.
